Make: JAGUAR MK 1
Model: 3.4 MANUAL WITH OVERDRIVE
Year: 1958

This immaculate Jaguar with lots of history arrived in South Africa on the Edinburgh Castle in 1958.

It was sold new by a Jaguar dealer in Bloemfontein and then went on to spend most of its time in Pretoria and Kokstad KZN.

A well known Jaguar collector and restorer from Pietermaritzburg KZN bought the car from its owner in Kokstad in 2003.

The car had only done 83,000 miles but had been standing so he decided to strip it down completely and in the process changed the colour from a grey to Old English White. There was and is no rust on the vehicle.

I have some restoration pics and a file full of invoices and hand written letters.

All the mechanicals were overhauled. The carpets and the woodwork were renewed.

The seats are the original red leather seats showing good patina.

I bought the car from the Jaguar collector as he is moving to smaller premises. Since I bought it I have replaced the 4 x cross ply tyres with new 185/80/15

radials.

I have also had the radiator removed and flushed.

All I need to do now is fit have the chrome windscreen beading fitted.

I have a file with correspondence from the previous owners and an instruction book.

The car is really good to drive and will be sold with a current roadworthy certificate.

Genuine 85,530 miles.
